What is the best potty training toilet for toddlers?

I see a lot of cute onesbut the biggest complaint I hear is that their kids think it’s a toy. I want one my child is not going to play with, I want her to understand it’s a potty not a toy.
Any help would be appreciated, thanks.

You have to strike a balance, because potty training can be daunting. If you introduce this strange new thing the first day of potty training, they may be too intimidated to use it. On the other hand, they need to understand what that they have to use it for.

What worked for our daughter was that we explained what it was a few days before starting, and we let her decorate a very plain potty with Dora stickers, which really made it her own. We also let her sit on it fully clothed, just to get her comfortable with the idea. Although she did sit her dolls on her ’special chair’ sometimes, the context was often correct (she was pretending that they were going to the bathroom). Although we had the usual potty training struggles, at least she was prepared for the process, and I think she did quite well.

So, to answer your question, a plain potty will do. Just make sure it’s easy to clean regularly, and let your daughter decorate it herself.
