Potty Train Your Child in Just 5 Hours

My son has been practicing potty training the last two days. What do I do when we are in the car?

We just started patty traing and Have a 20 minute drive to the store this afternoon, what do I do? I do not want to put a diaper on so he does not think its ok to pee, but if he pottys in his carseat ill have a mess. I also have a question on how to do the same thing at night.
He will be two in January

We always make sure our daughter goes to the potty before we leave the house (especially if we know we are going to be in the car for a while, without a place to stop!). We have also had to make pit-stops at gas stations and fast food restaurants (ick!) to use their facilities. We also put the thick training panties on our daughter (we didn’t have the plastic part that goes overtop, but it sounds like a good idea if you’re nervous). Stick a towel underneath him in the car, and be sure to bring an extra pair of undies and pants (I always have one in my car, just in case – I haven’t had to use them yet, but I figure the day I take them out is the day we will need them!). Make sure you are familiar with where the restrooms are in the stores you frequent, and make sure your son is comfortable in public restrooms! It also can’t hurt to throw his potty seat in the car with you, just in case, but I wouldn’t think it is completely necessary.
You’ll feel much more comfortable if he goes to the potty before you leave the house!
